Vote for next year’s executive board

Election season is upon us! While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we can’t wait to welcome a new executive board to lead Mizzou Women in Media next year. We need you to help pick our new executive board by voting for the candidates. Answers to our application questions are below so you can get to know the candidates. Our newsletter subscribers will be sent a link to an online survey to vote, so look for an email on Thursday, April 20 at noon.

Kansas City Media Tour Recap

Last Friday, April 7, Mizzou WIM drove to Kansas City to visit three media outlets and speak with the women who run them. We visited the ad agency VML, the public television station KCPT and the NBC-affiliate television station 41 Action News KSHB-TV. It was our first time ever hosting a media tour, and we couldn’t give a bigger thank you to the industry professionals who took the time to give us tours and answer our questions. Internship Postings

They got back to us with opportunities in strategic communications, broadcast radio and television and print. The list will be continue to be updated as we hear back. Here’s a list of opportunities:

Strategic Communications


Deadline: Varies

Description: “As a summer fellow in a Ketchum office, you will spend 10 jam-packed weeks working full-time in the middle of the action. As a spring or fall intern, you will spend up to 20 hours per week working in a Ketchum office. Ketchum fellows/interns attend in-house classes, serve as active members of account teams, and act as influential players in their group’s internship project.” Applications for the James Maxwell Programme open in May 2017.

APCO Worldwide
